Exciting News: Moving Up in the Publishing Queue and New Beginnings

Yesterday, I received great news. I’ve moved up in my publisher’s editing queue and will be starting in early June. I expect the editor will take some time to provide the requested rewrites, and I’m preparing myself for quite a few revisions. Since this is uncharted territory for me, it’s a bit nerve-wracking. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I plan to stay busy with my writing and hobbies.

Recently, I finished a short story for an anthology, edited the first book in my new Brightstar Manor series, and started a paranormal romance manuscript. I’m also reading Mexican Gothic and The Floating World. Outside of writing, I’ve been knitting a sweater and getting back into powerlifting. Keeping my hobbies active helps keep anxiety at bay and brings some balance to this exciting and uncertain time.

There are a few things that I am promising myself I will do. 1) Celebrate myself each step of the way. 2) Enjoy the ride, not matter how bumpy it is.

I am not good at slowing down and taking my time. (I think Patience is my ironic name). Which makes the waiting game is hard. This is where the ADHD serves me well, so many hobbies, so little time.
